	Core Winding Cores are carriers for rolls of tissue or towel materials. While usually discarded immediately after the rolled product is consumed, they are essential to the overall production of the tissue and towel product. Consistent trouble-free core production is vital. Henkel's adhesives for this application have the speed and tack versatility necessary to cope with the variability in high speed production. Henkel has developed a series of high solids, fast setting, versatile adhesion products designed especially for single and two ply cores.

	Transfer Adhesives Transfer adhesives need many good qualities. The proper adhesive can increase running speed and help make high speed transfers go smoothly and effectively. Slippage can cause blowouts, which result in lost production time and product. Effective pick-up means consistent log diameter. Sufficient wet tack will also prevent core slippage during the cutting operation. Aside from wet tack, long open time is beneficial. This allows down time for parent roll changes and operator breaks. A clean running product will have stable viscosity and good circulation.

	Case Seal The flawless performance of a case seal adhesive in a tissue and towel mill is critical to ensure production line speeds are maximized. Henkel's outstanding case sealing adhesives ensure your cases of tissues and towels arrive at your customer's location intact.

	Tail Tie An effective tail tie adhesive will hold the tail securely in place through the accumulator, cutting and conveyor processes. But, a good tail tie adhesive should also allow the consumer to open the tissue or towel easily and without fiber tear. Henkel's tail tie products are very low in solids, usually 10% or less. Application rates and methods can be adjusted to ensure the build-up of adhesive doesn't become a problem. 	Laminating Formulations for towel and tissue products can vary depending upon equipment and substrate. Polyvinyl alcohol formulas are dominant in the market. These products must be formulated for good hold out, low foaming and controlled surface tension to eliminate misting. Bath tissue laminating presents a special challenge requiring products that are especially resistant to build up.
