Application Instructions for Factory Joints: Application for Corners, Offset and Butt Joints:

  • Apply PRONTO™ Joint Tape directly to drywall joint.
  • Do not apply joint compound behind PRONTO™ Joint Tape!
  • Apply joint compound over PRONTO™.
  • Allow joint tape compound to dry. (PRONTO™ Joint Tape has a profile which means you'll need less joint compound - so drying times will be faster than normal.)
  • As the joint compound dries it may shrink into the perforations as it self-levels. This is normal. Another coat will conceal these depressions.
  • Apply another coat of joint compound to finish and allow to dry.
  • Sand as needed.
